| Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I have darkened teeth because of the antibiotics I took when I was a child. How can you remedy this?
A. If your discolored teeth is caused by intrinsic stain, which is the discoloration of your tooth structure and not the surface, you can undergo teeth bleaching. Our Escondido dentist can also cover them up by placing crowns or procelain laminate veneers over your stained teeth.
Q. Is it possible for teeth whitening to damage my teeth?
A. If you undergo a bleaching treatment from your dentist, there are of course small risks such as increase in tooth sensitivity to contact, cold, heat as well as sweets. However, teeth whitening is still generally safe, especially if you follow your dentist’s advice on how long your teeth whitening visit intervals should be.
